He joined WTSP in 1980, and has been a significant part of this community since then.

Two foundations have been selected by Dick’s wife, Cindy, for those who wish to make donations in memory of Dick.

I feel like I have lost a grandfather. My first memories of him were during hurricane Elana. When I moved back to the bay area, I immediately looked for the channel that he was on (after the network switch up) and watched him ever since.
I loved his acerbic interactions with Roundtree.
He will be missed.

I remember when Fletcher came to the area. Back then, Roy Leep was still king. Took a while for him to establish his bona fides with viewers, but once he did, his style worked well here and he carried Leep’s mantle well after Leep retired

Please remember life is very short. I had a massive stroke when I was 60. Everyday I wonder when the next one will happen.
