sticks of fire readers survey
Almost a year ago, we asked you to leave some basic information about yourself - just to get a better idea of what sort of people stumble upon Sticks of Fire. We learned just a bit about the average visitor here, and were surprised at some of the results.
We think we picked up three or four more readers since then, and would like to see how they effect those statistics. Of course, prospective advertisers are curious about you too. (I know - many of us hate advertising, but if we are going have ads here, I’d much prefer that you see things you might actually be interested in, rather than offers for a weekend resort stay in, say, Iowa.)
Now, we don’t send ad cookies, we’ll never have popups, and your answers will not be tied to any of your personal information. And the questionairre can be completed in less than four minutes. Plus in a lame attempt to be entertaining, there are some goofy answers available instead of “none of the above.”
Whether you got here by accident, and it’s your first visit, or if you check in several times a day, it really would help us out if you go click a couple buttons. This also goes for those of you who read but don’t comment. Please - no matter how you got here or why, we sure would appreciate if you took a few seconds to answer the questions.
Feel free to use the comments below to tell us anything else you would like to see on Sticks of Fire, too!

Okay, given one of the questions on the survey, this seems like a great time to ask.
If one is not married but lives with their partner OF THE OPPOSITE SEX, they are:
(a) (Life) Partnered
(b) Living in Sin
(c) Permanent fiancees
(d) Dating REALLY seriously
(e) Milking the cow for free but providing a barn
I answered partnered because it was my only option on this survey that made any sense for my situation, but doesn’t that really have a gay connotation (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)? I’ve seen the statistics and I know that we heterosexual, living together hopefully forever couples are becoming more the norm than married households. So I think we should get an appropriate label so that we can be pigeon-holed like everyone else! I’m tired of introducing my [insert more appropriate label here] as my girlfriend! And, if she’s not around displaying her, er, female-osity, I definitely hesitate to say “my life partner”.

The “Where Do You Live” is pretty skewed. A huge part of Tampa(though perhaps not your reader base) falls under either Other or North Tampa(which may be technically correct, but to this native North Tampa has not typically been thought to be anything south of Busch.) Pretty much lumps West Tampa, the 3 SH’s Tampa Heights and East Tampa all under Other. Seems a bit shortsighted to me.
