According to a Seattle Post Intelligencer reporter’s dog, Moxie (emphasis mine):

People were yelling and screaming and holding sticks of fire in their hands. I ran and ran and ran, in search of quiet.

How in the world did this dog find time to write a column between scratching, licking its privates, chasing its tail, burying its face in a feeding dish and trying to hump a visitor’s leg?
